Monday Blues

I woke up late today. Apparently my phone alarm went off and I conveniently pressed the snooze button and went back to sleep. It was 740am when I woke up again and in my mind, it was still 640am. So I went back to sleep. Suddenly a loud voice rang across my head, "OIE! What time already still sleeeep!!!". Still in my state of shock, I jumped out of bed and zoom to the bathroom.

Lol. I was late for school and not only that, my runny nose came back again. And for some reason, when I woke up today, my knee hurts badly. I dont know if it's due to my over-exercising or because I knock on to something. Anyway it hurts and I had to give up running for today, and probably for the next two. I went to run today but gave up after I couldnt take the pain after 200m.

Thanks once again to everybody who tagged and/or smsed me. I appreciate everybody's concern regarding my diet regime and my stupid flu. I'll take care of myself, dont worry (although end up you guys still have to worry for me. Thanks guys (and gals)!

Year ending soon. It's the end of Nov and the beginning of Dec. Soon it will be Christmas, then Countdown, then New Year then 2010! So fast la. And not forgetting semester test coming in 2 weeks. -.-

I'm getting excited over the production of my new album. I'm happy to get much more involved in the process this time round. Cant wait to share with everybody, and thanks to all who support and is going to support! (",)

Another song recorded

Today finished the recording another song. Next week will start recording on a few more new songs. The recording was a tiring one for this song that I just recorded. Very hard to sing actually. Lol. But under Pin Min Laoshi's guidance, I'm able to do it quite well.

Went for a 5km jogging before I went for recording. I must carry on jogging and diets in order to have a good image for my album cover. No choice, being a artiste is not easy. Haha. Anyway, something to share with all of you, everytime when I start recording, one of the below system sure give us problem. Do make a guess which system give us the most problem. :)

Ok. Have to sleep now. Just reach home at 3.50am and my school start at 8.45am. Have to wake up at 6.30am and hope that I won't fall sick again. Everybody must take care too. Pin Ming Laoshi must take care too! (",)

Sometimes

Ever tried your best to do something, knowing deep inside that you have done your best and is doing your best, yet people dont seem to think the same way as you did? I think it's quite a common feeling that people have. That happened to me these few days when I keep hearing people calling me FAT.

Yet, for the past 4 days since Monday, I've been sticking to my diet regime of having just one full meal a day. I'm eating fruits and vegetables and drinking just plain water, been exercising continuously everyday just so that I can get back in shape (not that I had any to start with, unless round is a shape) to satisfy my critics and people around me. But sometimes people tend to expect too much. 4 days into my regime and they expect immediate results, making comments like, "You still look fat, are you sure you are dieting?" and "Aiyo, you really put on alot of weight!", which made me feel like you are deeming my regime as useless. But you guys dont know what I'm going through just to make you all happy. Talk is cheap. Really.

Of course I'm not talking about Boss, just in case he starts to wonder if I am talking about him and complaining about his constant nagging. Lol. I know he meant well because I have an image to uphold. I'm referring to people who like to practice NATO (say naa-toe). And do you all know what NATO means?

No Action, Talk Only.

They just comment and complain all day along about how the sky is going to fall and yet do nothing themselves. Well, nevermind. I'll only get stronger!

Stay positive

Today didnt do much. Stayed home, rest, diet and exercise again. I realised I ran 4+km today. Lol.

At night met Boss and new friend. He's fellow kranjian, fellow Pioneer and also from Kranji Camp too! Such a coincidence. Lol.

Thanks for everyone's well wishes! And for Carol 妹妹, dont be too upset about your loss. I know how you feel, but we have to stay positive no matter what ok?

Happy

I couldnt sleep last night. Was tossing and turning in bed when i got home at around 4am. Then before I knew it, it was 630am, which means I didnt sleep a wink at all. Soon my nose began to give way and I felt my body getting weak. But I had to crawl out of bed to prepare to go school. When I got to school, my condition got worse. Rashes start to appear. I swallowed the two panadol Boss gave me during Men We Love.

After lecture I couldnt take it anymore so I went to the library to catch some rest. But my whole body was so uncomfortable that I cant sleep at all, and it was so cold.

Things got slightly better after popping another two pills and drinking some hot soup during lunch. And I managed to pull through the rest of the lessons for the day. Isma asked me what happened because of the rashes. Thanks for the concern!

Headed home to rest after that before going for tuition. After that I popped another two pills and headed out for a short jog. I think I lacked of exercise, that's why always sick. After 1km+ of distance Boss called and I stopped to talk to him. After we hung up I ran but as I was about to start running my thigh cramped. So I was forced to abort the run.

Went home, did some statics and weighed myself and poof! Since diet regime day one on Monday till now, I loss 3kg! HAHA!

I'm really glad my efforts paid off. The process is pretty painful. Once I'm more successful in losing more weight, I'll share with everyone else what I did. Right now it may just be coincidence. So wish me luck everyone!

The House Of Small Cubes

Finally start to record my new song. Apparently the flu bug havent left me. I'm stuck with this flu since eon weeks ago. Sigh. Flu flu go away!

Anyway today's session was quite taxing on me. I dont know why but I felt extra tired. My eyes were swelling towards the end of the recording, but I persevered! Elson is strong! Lol.

And it gets worse through the night. I think it's because I wake up at 630am everyday and so once after 20 hours of no rest, my body starts to "shut down". Lol.

My one meal a day regime kicks off today. So far so good. Just one full meal a day. Hehe.

Diet Diet Diet!

Today marks the first day of my diet regime. Hopefully I'll start shedding some weight. Thanks to EVERYBODY who complained that I'm FAT!!! Lol.

One meal per day. Plus some exercises. Low calorie diets. No more sweet drinks. No more tidbits. No more junk food. No more fast food.

What else? Lol.

Time Flies

Another weekend is over. Didnt get to do pretty much what I wanted. But still, I did manage to catch up some rest.

I just hope tomorrow would be a better day. Everyone gather and pray for me that everything will settle peacefully and successfully ok? (",)

Sorry Carol, I wasnt at Yew Tee Point today. I guess you wanted to meet up? I promise I'll meet up with you soon ok. :)

Haha. I think you guys would have sat up in anticipation upon seeing these two names. However the twist is that it's just there lookalikes and not the actual person. But still, I think there is a reasonable amount of resemblance on certain angles. A job well done I would say. If the singing is more like leehom then it'd be perfect. haha. Enjoy.

What Lies Ahead?

I stayed home the whole day awaiting the arrival of my new set of furniture. Did some soul searching. I began to think, what do I really want? Till now, the answer is a question mark. I'm unsure of what I want in the future. Right now, it's like "see what good then take what" kinda feeling. I suddenly feel so powerless, I began to realise I couldnt control my fate.

Anyway, today isnt a good day to began with. I shall not elaborate further. People who needs to know, knew what happened already. I just hope by Monday, everything can come to a proper ending, or at least a good ending. I'm tired of facing all the shit at home and outside. I dont know what to do anymore. One more wrong step and everything falls.

At night I went to Zhi Hao's wake. I got to "see" him for a final time. He was peaceful. Saw a few friends. Some whom I havent seen for a long time. It's a good feeling to see each other again. But again, I thought to myself, why must we only meet up during such events? Life is short, really short. And unpredictable. We must all learn to cherish and live each day to it's fullest. You never know what can happen the next moment of your life. One second can mean alot of things. I hope Amanda and ZH's family can move on properly. And to ZH, Rest In Peace bro. A final farewell to you. Goodbye.

Raging Phoenix

I was invited to try out facial at Ezen Group today specially by Esla 老板. Sadly I didnt get to see her today because she was not feeling well. Nevertheless, Esther did a great job for me today!

The experience there, I would say is great. Service is good, quality is good, standard is good too. They'd first analyse your problem, then let you know the available treatments, then will recommend the most suitable one for you. The whole process is very comfortable and soothing. Overall, I would give them 4.5/5 stars. (",)

I seldom catch Thai movies but this is good stuff. The fighting scenes and stunts are really well choreographed. Things that are missing in Hollywood's action packed movie can be found in this movie. The best part of the movie is that the hero is a female. Something seldom seen in fighting movies. And she's really cute too. (",)

The thing I dislike about the movie is that some parts are really too draggy and the storyline seems a little too unrealistic for my liking.

2012 Singapore Style

Remember the scenes in 2012 movie? Today I experienced a little mini version of it. Lol. I was having lunch with Aik Leng, Jonathan and Atlantis when suddenly there was a heavy downpour. We thought that the rain might stop or get smaller as time goes by but it ended up getting heavier and heavier till an extend that it poured really heavily. So we stayed at the food centre till it was really late, we had no choice but to call cab so as to not get late for lessons.

As we called cab, we got a shock. It was flooded everywhere. People had difficulty passing through. Even smaller cars was half submerged under water. The market place and shops below together with the toilet, was flooded. Shop owners had no choice but to use the pubic bins to scoop water out. It was truly a sight worth seeing. How often do we get to see this in Singapore? Fortunately to say, very rarely. 2012, Singapore style.


Cab fare from school to bukit timah? $4. Cab fare from bukit timah back to school? $10. Lol. Thanks to the flood and downpour. Anyway lessons went on as usual. Noone except the 4 of us remembered the little "adventure" we had. (",)

Anyway, it's Carol's birthday tomorrow. I typed and wanted to wish her tonight midnight but end up pressing the send button instead. Lol. Still, here's wishing you another advanced Happy Birthday mei mei! Remember the day we met at Chinatown? The day we sang together at Bukit Timah Shopping Centre? Zhi Hao's body will be flown back this weekend. He had a state military funeral in a chapel in US and will be holding his wake here in Singapore during the weekends. I'll be attending the wake. RIP Bro.

Half Time

Tuesday marks the end of Maths lecture and tutorial. Means no more Mr Syed. :(

It's sad because we all like him. He's really a great teacher. Someone who can impart knowledge with so much patience and dedication, and also tries his very best to make what supposed to be a super boring subject into something so interesting and funny. It makes me want to learn and not to say, I scored a high 92% for my Maths test. We took a picture after our last tutorial lesson and he is so funny! He told us, "Eh, wait awhile ah." then he went to pour water into his hands he started styling his hair. He said, "Faster take picture before the water effect wear off and my hair starts to fall." HAHA. So here we go, snap snap.

RIP, My Great Friend

I'm sure some of you would have heard of the passing on of a RSAF regular in an accident in USA two days ago. I wish I didnt have to blog about this, but I have to. He is my friend.

It's the 2nd time in two months I received news of a friend passing on. I dont understand why such cruelty must bestow on such a nice person. I mean, no offence to anybody, the other two passengers survived the crash. He was the only fatality.

A relatively close friend of mine, Zhi Hao was a great man who has everything a friend needs. I knew him since 13, when I was in Secondary 1. But we didnt really get to know each other until Secondary 4 where we were in the same class. We started forming a clique. Me, Sabai, Terence and him, we all used to hang out together alot. We been to many places, did alot of wild things. He was a daring person and he's someone who would dare to do almost anything. As a result, he and I would often make fun of Sabai. Not forgetting getting into trouble together. Lol. What a silly friend.

I remembered a night in Sec 4, Zhi Hao's dad offered us a free trip to Night Safari. So almost the entire class went.

After that, we went to the same JC. Coincidentally, we were in neighbouring class. And so because of that, we get to meet often. During break time, we would hang out in the canteen or the hall where there's a grand piano which I would play.

Zhi Hao's a smart person. He's always teaching me maths and physics, which I sucked completely at. Lol.

Sad thing was we both graduated and left to serve the nation. He went on the sign on the Air Force and was on his way on fulfilling his ambition of being a pilot. He succeeded. I'm proud of him.

Due to his oversea training stint, we sort of lost contact. However during his birthday on the 22nd Oct, I wished him happy birthday. That was the last time we contacted.

Yesterday, on a sad Monday morning, at 0910am (Singapore time), he left us, suddenly. Just like that. Sigh.

There are many things about Zhi Hao that I can write and share, but I just cant do it now. My heart hurts. I wanna cry now.

I'll never forget his distinct laughter. He has brought us many joy and happiness with his great company.

To Amanda his gf: I hope you stay strong. I know it's hard but we will always be there for you.

To Zhi Hao's family: My deepest heartfelt condolences to everybody in the Chee family. Thanks for giving us such a wonderful friend. It's been great knowing him.

If there is anything that we can do for you all (amanda and zh's family), do let me know. We are all here with you.


Goodbye, my friend of 9 years. May you find peace in a better place now.

Fish World

Today enjoy my lesson in school. My project team-mates are quite impressed with my presentation and idea contributed. Lol. At least a happy day for me, no stress but still I yet to recover from my flu.

I don't know what exactly happen to me. My eyes got swollen now. Flu getting bad and I feel like fainting at time. My dad say want to bring me to a doctor, maybe I will try to find time tomorrow after school. Now have to work on my presentation for tomorrow. Very excited! Haha. Hope our teacher will like and accept our presentation.

Anyway saw a new about local artistes employing a personal assistant. Many of them say that not every people can be a good personal assistant, which I also agreed personally. But luckily I have a good personal assistant which is Joanne (Juan Jie) and Catherine. Lol. Since my first appearance to the music industry, Joanne is the first one to follow me and take care of me. Then Catherine join Joanne at a later stage. Nevertheless, Catherine also care alot for me.

I just want to say I'm a lucky guy. Thanks to both of you for your love and concern. I really appreciate it deeply in my heart.

Today I spend around 20 minutes playing a game in Facebook. This game is an application under Facebook, quite interesting and it is known as Fish World. You can buy and sell your fishes away when they become adult. Then you have to take care of them by feeding them and cleaning up the fish tank to earn "coins" in order to buy more fishes.

I just started this game, so if you guys are bored, maybe try it out in Facebook. (",) Think in near future, I will have more fishes and tanks. :) If there are any other interesting game in Facebook, I will share with everybody in my blog.

Movie Review

I guess this movie is the movie of the year in terms of special effects and all. Everything is nicely done. But the plot seems a little messy. I think noone actually knows why the world had to end or what exactly happened. We just know that it's going to happen and it happened. The front and the mid of the movie is good. But the ending kinda anti-climaxed everything. The "spaceship" is kinda unrealistic and how the movie ended with people finding new land and all. I wished the ending could show something else out of the cliche like maybe the entire world did died and the dinosaurs once again roamed the earth? Something like that rather than the "continuation" of mankind. Well, overall it's a good movie though. Worth watching.

Today is a Saturday but I got lessons. It marks the beginning of Saturday lessons. Every week till term test 2. :(

When I reached school today I got a shock. My tutorial mate called me and ask me to not attend class. I didnt want to but in the end all of us met up at canteen and we chatted awhile. After 3 minutes teacher came to the canteen to buy coffee and he saw us. So we all laughed and headed to class.

After lesson I ate Mac alone. So poor thing right. Lol. I got a kick of collecting the Monopoly stickers. I dont know why. haha. But so far I wont nothing but fries, snack wraps and cafe latte. Lol. Maybe we should all come together and trade stickers one day. Shawn, I'll save Sentosa Cove for you if I have ok. (",)

Went home after that. Painting is almost done. Think by tomorrow everything will be completed. Then next week my new furniture will come. Woo!

Friday 13th

Friday 13th are known for their supposed ability to bring bad luck to a person. I'm not spared. Something really bad happened to me today. Really bad. Sigh.

Things have been going on smoothly and happily for me, then today, this happened. I'm now lost. I dont know what to do anymore.

Why does my form of happiness always so short-lived?

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade out of it. But how can you make lemonade out of shit?

So many problems, zero solutions.

My Newest Craze

I'm back from the finals of Nu You Men We Love. But due to the vast number of pictures and so as not to confuse everyone, I decided to separate two posts. One for today, one specially for the event.

Anyway I was hit with flu again today morning. And it has became worse since. I couldnt stop sneezing and my nose couldnt stop flowing in class. I tried to catch a short nap during the break in the library. But I couldnt because of a few phone calls and our Econs project meeting. Mr Nageb was very nice today. Because he praised me. Haha. He says he's impressed with my attitude for attending lessons despite being so sick. (",)

After school I heading straight to Zouk for the event. On my way there I passed by a LG boutique at Tiong Bahru Plaza and I saw this phone which totally mesmerised me on the spot.




Isnt it a beauty? It's the latest LG collection: the LG New Chocolate BL40. Freaking nice!!! I would love to own one. But no money now. :(

NuYou Men We Love 2009 - Finals

NuYou Magazine Men We Love 2009 is finally over. I reached slightly late for the rehearsals due to school commitments. Anyway I was pretty worried I might flop the whole thing because I was nursing a very bad and heavy flu. I almost felt like giving up. In between the rest periods, I took the chance to catch some power nap, but things didnt get any better. Luckily at night, I mastered enough strength to pull through everything. I guess noone knew I was unwell. (",)

Upon meeting the contestants, I introduced myself. At first I thought was quite hard to get along because all of them are older than me by at least 4 years. But they were very friendly too and I quickly blended in with them. We went through the first round of rehearsal, or rather the first round for me. Lol.

After that I ate my dinner and caught a 15 minute power nap before doing my hair and make up. Soon we got changed and the event was about to start. Everyone was very nervous backstage. But still we all tried to joke to one another to keep the atmosphere as warm as possible. haha. Oh yah, did I mentioned ALL of us changed backstage? Noone bothered heading to the toilet to change because it was quite far and the time constrain was really tight.

Soon the show began. Jun Wei was the Emcee for the day and Kelly Poon 潘嘉丽 was the guest artiste for the night. Finally met Kelly after so long. Had heard of her through Boss and seen her on tv for quite sometime already but we havent got to meet and so today I got the chance to formally introduce each other. She is really cute and friendly. I also heard from Boss that Kelly is very down to earth and hardworking and today I really saw it with my own eyes. She is a great artiste. Her performance was great and her vocals are pretty good. Overall, she did great. Well done Kelly, do keep in touch. :)

I was asked to sing a song during Q&A and I sang Leehom's "你不在". Was pretty worried I couldnt pull it off due to the flu, but I did. After the Q&A session we were all allowed 4 minutes each to go down the stage to get our votes from the public. Thanks to all who had voted for me.


I won the title of Best Hair by Loreal. Quite happy and thank you NuYou Magazine for giving me an opportunity to be part of this event. Thanks the editor from NuYou, Grace for the wonderful experience given to me. Not forgetting all the backstage crew and staffs. Without you guys, Elson won't look so good on stage. (",)

I'm a very happy person today. But I cannot share with you guys why yet. I'm just very very happy!!! =D

Tomorrow is 女友杂志 (NuYou Magazine) Men We Love's final. I'm very excited and nervous. HAHA. To those who are under 18, I really really wish you guys can come. Perhaps you all can either sneak in or bribe the bouncers or something. Just joking! Please don't do that! If you are being caught, I will feel very bad about it. hahaha. It's a event anyway. I miss all of you. Hope to see you guys tomorrow!

A surprise phone call / LG Ice Cream Phone

My whole day today was pretty much packed. Econs assignment deadline is getting nearer. I really hope we can start having some concrete ideas and business plans soon. =\ After school I met Edwin 大哥 and Boss and accompanied them to meeting.

Ever heard of an "Ice Cream" phone? Today I heard about it when I met Raymond from LG. A research online made me understand why will the phone be sold out. It's design is really nice and trendy. I think most young people would like it. And the colour span and range are pretty cool. Like light pink and baby blue. Colours which are not of the usual stereotype.

Oh yah. I also met a new friend Henry CHC. He's a nice guy, and very humble too. (",)

Anyway after the meeting I went home and we sent Sis off to the airport. Stopped by Chomp Chomp to eat tau huay. My ALL TIME FAVOURITE original egg tau huay, with pearls. haha. I can eat like 100000 bowls without getting sick of it. Ok, exaggeration detected. But you get my point. Not forgetting dinner at Popeye too. Havent had Popeye for more than a year. So it's pretty yummilicious too.



On my way home earlier today I received an sms from an unknown number. At first the person told me that she knew me for more than a decade, since I was 12 years old, and that we used to hang out together after school. She told me that she has been reading my blog but she just refused to tell me who she is. So I decided to ignore her for awhile. Then she called. I picked up and to my surprise, it was my Primary School teacher Mdm Tay! She played a prank on me! Lol.

Mdm Tay is my pri 6 form teacher, my bestest teacher who dotes on me a lot. We lost contact some year ago and I thought I'd lose contact with her forever. But fate doesnt fail us and so she called me out of the blue today. We chatted for more than an hour, talking about old and new stuffs. Those memories and promises (that I still remember). What a wonderful day for me today. I will not forget my promises and your words of wisdom. Thank you Mdm Tay!
