Cherish

Went Angelsky8 for haircut and facial today after more than 2 months. Didnt manage to see J.Ai. Guess he's busy!

That's me after facial and haircut. A little messy I know. Lol.

Cute or not? It's a gift from my friend Penny or XYZ. Haha. XYZ is Xiao Yuen Zi. She's a very cute friend. 我收到了,谢谢你!

Also not forgetting Wei for always dedicating song to me. It's little things like this that makes me happy. Thanks Wei. (",)

Was blog hopping just now and I came across a blog of a blogger. She posted a real-life story of hers about being in an abusive relationship. I hope she doesnt mind but I would really like to share her story here.

It's really long so I would share the link. Click HERE.

After reading, I felt pretty angry. Why would such people exist? Why cant people learn to cherish and treasure their love ones? They always say, when you are scolding and swearing at your woman, there is always a guy who wishes he could take care of her for life and not let her get hurt. When you chase your woman out of the door, there is always a guy who wished she would walk into his but she didnt because she has walked into yours. When you chucked your woman aside, there is always a guy who secretly wished he could be by her side forever.

Let's learn to live and let live. 不要等到失去了,才来珍惜。

That having said, I know it's always easy to be on the talking end than the doing end.

Been rather stressed up recently. Too many problems. Haiz. They say worrying is like a rocking chair - it gives you something to do but gets you nowhere. But I really cant help stressing out and worrying.

Cant seem to communicate with people well recently. Especially people close to me. Haiz.

Life's Fragile

Was browsing the net and I came across this article. The headline read: Photographer Committed Suicide 3 Days After Taking This Picture!!

This was the picture:

It was said that the photographer could have saved this boy’s life, but because of the photographer’s ethics code he was prevented from helping in any way. This haunted him, and led him to commit suicide.

Sad isnt it? Many of us live a good life, especially in Singapore, and yet we dont learn to cherish and appreciate. Here, we complain about buses with no air cons, chairs with torn covers or hot hawker centres while they have no transport, no chairs and no food.

Learn to appreciate the simplest things in life and life will be kind to you. Peace.

xoxo.

3 Surprises

It's Vesak Day today. Anybody went to pray? (",)

Anyway I received 3 loves today from 3 different people. First is from Serena. She treat me to watch Shrek in 3D. My first movie after so long. Thanks Serena for making me happy.

Second gift was from Esther. I feel so bad not being able to see her in person to accept the gift and to bid her farewell before she left for Japan. But nevertheless, I want to let her know that I really really appreciate her thoughts and I like the present very much! It's a very huggable Stitch plush!

I havent thought of a name for it yet. Any suggestions? Or maybe Esther you want to help me name it? (",)

Third and final surprise is the biggest gift! And the accolade goes to JOSEPH! He has helped me sourced and found a Jay Chou Concert ticket! Just when I already gave up, he didnt. And today he finally broke the news to me. Omg. I'm so happy. Not only that, it's one of the best seats in the stadium and it's the most expensive one! I dont know how much he forked out and how much he went thorough to help me secure this one precious ticket, but some part of me felt really bad. Really really bad. I just want to say I'm really very touched and happy. Thanks Joseph!!! (",)

There you go. 3 surprises in one day. Lol.

Last but not least, I would like to make an appeal here to all my readers to help vote for me at CampusRock!

http://campusrock.weebly.com/youth-wow.html or Click HERE for direct link. You may vote as many times as you like, but only for one vote per ip address per day. Do help spread the love! Thank you!

Shrek Forever After

Shrek Forever After

Genre: Action
Director: Mike Mitchell
Cast : Julie Andrews, Eddie Murphy, Mike Myers, John Cleese, John McCartney
RunTime: 1hr 30mins
Rating: PG

Movie Synopsis
In this fourth instalment of the popular ogre film franchise, Shrek (Mike Myers) has become a domesticated family man. Instead of scaring villagers away like he used to, the now-reluctant ogre agrees to autograph pitch forks. Longing for the days when he felt like a "real ogre," Shrek is tricked into signing a pact with the smooth-talking dealmaker, Rumpelstiltskin (Paul McCartney). Shrek suddenly finds himself in a twisted, alternate version of Far Far Away, where ogres are hunted, Rumplestiltskin is king and Shrek and Fiona (Cameron Diaz) have never met. Now, it's up to Shrek to undo all of Rumpelstiltskin's mischief in the hopes of saving his friends, restoring his world and reclaiming his one true love and family.

Movie Review
Ok, first and foremost, I didnt know it was already the FOURTH installment. All along I thought there was only 3. And that also proves that this is the first ever Shrek movie I ever watched, in 3D somemore. I thought it was quite nice. Donkey's role was very well done. Storyline's abit cliche but I like how they bring different Disney characters altogether like Rumpelstiltskin, Pipe Pipper and Pinnochio etc.

Eddie Murphy (Voice behind Donkey)
Cameron Diaz (Voice behind Fiona)

Overall I feel that the length of movie is adequately exciting with almost no boring parts. A must see for all Shrek lovers.

I'm Back!

I'm back! Thank you everyone for your constant care and concern. Sorry I couldnt reply or pick up some of your calls as there are mobile restrictions for me at times. Still I wanna thank everyone for their utmost concern towards my condition. I'm feeling better for now. Hopefully I dont need to go again.

I was in time to attend my classmate, Isma's wedding dinner at night. Boss wanted me to rest at home but I wanted to go congratulate her as she has been a good friend to me and have helped me in my schoolwork too. Happy that she's finally married. (",)

The wedding was held at Grand Corpthorne Hotel. It's my first time there and it's my first time attending a grand Malay-style wedding. The custom and preparations were all different but also similar in many ways. I liked the dances and the other arts performances for the night. Truly entertaining. I was dragged to do a "congratulatory dance" with my two other classmates upon request from the floor and we all did a mini malay dance with the dancers. Everyone was initially worried for me but I completed it safely, much to everyone's relief. (",)

Ok, pictures time.

I seem a lil pale. Hope I dont scare anyone. Lol.

It's buffet-style dinner. Yums!

This is my Accounting lecturer Mr Balwant. He was here too. Had a good chat with him. Thanks for your concern!

Recently too many things to worry and stress about. I dont know how to be perfect. I cant seem to please people no matter what. I know people are placing hopes and expectations on me. But somehow this responsibility is so hard to carry for me. I want to make everyone happy and produce some results but everything is just not going well for me. Haiz. Who can help me?

Dance @ O School

I woke up pretty early today to attend the dance class organised by F&N and O School. It's really fun! But it's only an hour, I wished it was slightly longer, wanna learn more. Haha.

I attempted to take photos and videos but I realised I cannot multi task so I had to trouble Jeff to help me with the photo taking. Thanks again!

Shou Chen was one of my classmates too. He was very funny thorough the entire lesson. Couldnt stop laughing at his jokes. Lol.

Pictures first!

Us doing the warm up.

That's me practicing one of the dance movement.

Our teacher for the day.

This shot is a "off shoulder" movement shot. Artistically taken by Jeff! (",)

Me and Teacher Brian.

Group shot with the class.

The teacher did mention that the moves we learn to day were more for intermediate level. But we all did pretty ok. So I think we should give ourselves a round of applause for the effort today. Made some new friends during lesson too. I think everyone did well today and sure we all had a lot of fun too. They are having lesson next week but Shou Chen told me to stay home rest instead because of Tuesday's op. Hmm.

Anyway the teacher is really good today. Everyone should consider taking lessons at O School. Their facilities are top class and teachers are friendly, patient and NICE!

For more information of O School, simply visit: www.oschool.com.sg

Or head down to their premises directly at the following address:

Smile :)

Things happened so fast and sudden. It felt like it was still yesterday..

Just want to say Thank You to everybody! Tuesday is the big day and hopefully I can recover in time to continue my recording. Sorry to keep everybody waiting for the 2nd EP. Meanwhile hope my 1st EP can keep you guys company. (",)

Smile!

Type A, B, C, D

When you are a high profile or public figure, many people would want to know about your stuffs. When you are high profile and a hated figure, many people will try their best means to try to harm you.

Singaporeans are well known for being KPO. I am also Singaporean and I'm proud to have this trait in me. But I believe there are four types of KPO Singaporeans.

Type A: Those who want to know things and keep quiet after knowing.
Type B: Those who want to know and start telling the whole world about it after knowing.
Type C: Those who happen to know and keep quiet.
Type D: Those who happen to know and want to be part of the show.

Apparently I am Type A and Type C person. I dont go around airing people's dirty linens or try to act smart in such situations. I believe there are many permutations for different people, this is mine. Lol.

Why I blog this? Recently I came to know of a story from one of the local university.

A guy and a girl dated. The girl is a friend of mine. The guy, her bf (now ex), is a high profile figure in the school and hence their relationship was sort of high profile as a result. Soon the guy left for overseas exchange trip and they eventually broke up.

*citing privacy reasons, I had to cut short the story.

The following few days, she was spammed with phone calls from unknown numbers, overseas and local, and msn messages from everywhere "reporting" the "news" to her. They were sending her pictures and stuffs about his alleged flings and "misbehavior". People whom she does not know at all told her "I think you should know about it.". What were they thinking? I dont know.

Now this whole saga became the next hot topic within the school. Everyone is spreading it, everyone is discussing about it.

Whose fault?

Come on. Get a life. This is what I meant by Type B and Type D people. This whole issue has nothing to do with you guys at all. Especially when you do not know the person personally at all. I guess it's the upbringing and practices in the particular school that cultivates this kind of culture within the school. I dont know. Sometimes I feel that people who goes through similar cycles of life and who goes to the same kind of school are equally childish. As in, their maturity level is still way behind people of their age in another country or environment.

I'm not against anyone or anything. Just feel very sad for my friend. Sigh.

Ok, on a happy note, Jay Chou's album is out. I've listened to all the songs liao. I like the emo one. Share with you guys. Be sure to support his album!

Sorry if I havent been replying to all smses or phone calls, but I know that many people really cared about me. Anyway I made a few phone calls to a few people just now and Esther didnt believe it was me. Lol. Esther: Thanks for your stars! I'm sorry it made your hand blister. :(

Carol, Yu Jing, Gilberto, Keng Huei, Panda: I know you all are concerned. Thanks for your well wishes. I will press on!

Godma Mrs Wee, God Sis Sarah: I sorry you both were so worried. I will take care.

J.Ai: Thanks for your concern. I know your little baby due this month. Do let me know when she's born! Sure to be a pretty little girl. (",)

Yiming, Jim 老师, Edwin 大哥, Peggy: Thanks for the concern too.

To Hello FM, Campus Rock, the many on Facebook, my friends and the people whom I missed out: THANK YOU SO MUCH! Every message of encouragement means so much to me.

Before I go, I wanna share a song with everyone. This song has been on repeat mode in my ipod for a few days. Nice song. Do listen to it.

What Do We Love?

A good quote from the movie: The Hurt Locker.

Staff Sergeant William James: [Speaking to his son] You love playing with that. You love playing with all your stuffed animals. You love your Mommy, your Daddy. You love your pajamas. You love everything, don't ya? Yea. But you know what, buddy? As you get older... some of the things you love might not seem so special anymore. Like your Jack-in-a-Box. Maybe you'll realize it's just a piece of tin and a stuffed animal. And the older you get, the fewer things you really love. And by the time you get to my age, maybe it's only one or two things. With me, I think it's one.

How true? When we were young, we love almost everything we see. From coins, to our toys, to the adults' handphones, to cars passing, to the birds in the sky, to even the lights turning on or the cold air blowing out of the white box. We get fascinated by many things. But as time goes by, we get older, and the things we loved gets lesser and lesser. Things we used to love becomes worthless and not as special or lovable anymore.

Why?

Will I be loved when I'm no longer here?

Passing of a great Legend

Read the news few days ago and saw the news regarding the passing of Singapore's Legend, our founding forefather, Dr Goh Keng Swee.

Dr Goh has played an integral part in the development of Singapore. In 1959, upon taking up the post of Minister of Finance, he once famously described the state of Singapore’s economy as “wretched”. Thanks to his efforts, however, the economy did not stay that way for long.

Twelve years later, in 1979, Dr. Goh made significant contributions to Singapore’s education system, introducing key policies like religious education and streaming in primary schools. He also set up the existing JTC which created jobs for countless Singaporeans. His contribution to our country is significant and appreciable.

Thank you, Dr. Goh. Rest in peace.

Meanwhile, in the other part of the world, another boy has yet became a massive internet sensation after performing at his school's 6th grade festival. 6th grade I think is equivalent of Singapore's Pri 6. Young tender age of 12, his talents are incredible. Check out the video.

Feeling weak today. No strength to do anything.

Light of Hope

Attended Serene's album launch today at K Union. I'm so happy for her. Hearing what she and 小寒老师 said on stage, I teared. It's like a sense of sadness overwhelmed me all of a sudden. Maybe cause recently more easily emo bah.

They spoke about how much they went through before being able to successfully launch the album today and I can totally feel for them. I'm going through the same thing as well. 所谓台上一分钟,台下十年功。

I went on stage to give her my 小小心意。It's to show my support and encouragement to another newcomer in the industry. I specially picked chocolate bouquet instead of flowers because I told Serene that flowers wither, but thoughts will persevere. Each chocolate represents my heartfelt wishes to her and after eating, may her enjoy and taste sweetness and success in the future to come.

I'm sure she'll be successful under the guidance of her 3 mentors, Jim 老师, Eric 老师 and 小寒老师。Serene 加油!All the best to you!

I'm sure many of you have seen today's Shin Min and read the news about me. It's spreading quite fast like wildfire now. Just like Serene 龚芝怡's new song 在我左右, I know every of you are standing beside me to fight this tough war now. I wish I can be as strong as everyone wanted me to be. I know sometimes I just cant control my sadness. It's not because I'm scared or what, just that I worry I cant sing in future. Then how do I thank all my supporters and sponsors? Haiz.

F&N Winner - Sze Ping!

Headed to SPH for the final F&N meeting to wrap up the Singapore Dance Delight campaign. Everyone was excited and happy at the same time as it's also the day the result of the winner will be announced.

Meanwhile I gave out the yummy donuts kindly sponsored by Donut Empire to all the bloggers and everyone present. I hoped they enjoyed the donuts. I know Yong Wei did. (refer to picture below) LOL!

I also gave out the soccer jerseys which Donut Empire has in conjunction with the World Cup coming up in June. It's available at all outlets. So do grab your limited edition collectors today!!!
Ok. Pictures time!

See, I told you he enjoys his donut. Hee!

Popped by Radio 91.3 FM's office as promised to Jeremy that I'll personally deliver his donuts to him. Met Boy Thunder (another DJ of 91.3) as well. They are very friendly!

Finally, it's time for the prize presentation. Everyone walked home with a beautiful hamper from F&N, specially presented to everyone by Jeff!

Congrats to Sze Ping! He won the overall bloggers contest and he's heading to Japan to watch the Japan Dance Delight Finals, where Joyce and The Boys will be performing too. So do stay tuned to his blog for more exciting coverage of the event!

My baby. Lol. No la. Klessis's daughter. Cute right? She's also a supporter of F&N. Haha.

Finally a group shot. All the bloggers less Hui Xiang, who went overseas for her grad trip. Everyone did a great job! I'm happy to have known all of you. Keep in touch ok! (",)

Anyway, thanks everyone for their concern. Though difficult, but I'll be alright I guess. (",)

Hush Puppies 52nd Anniversary

Attended Hush Puppies 52nd Anniversary Party today. I'm so honoured to be part of this celebration. It's star studded~!

Besides that, it's also my first visit to Marina Bay Sands. It's also my first visit to an IR. Havent been to Sentosa's one yet. So many first time today. Haha.

When we reached we were ushered to autograph and write our wishes on the huge backdrop. How cool is that? (",) We also took the chance to snap a picture with the Hush Puppies mascot. Lol.

52 artistes and guests were invited today. There was a fashion show by the Singapore Slingers and DJs from Radio 1003. Jian Wen 大哥 was also part of the catwalk, he told me he was very nervous. Lol. Quite a number of celebrities attended the event too. Zzen Zhang, Nick Shen, Thomas Ong, Serene Kong, 小寒老师 and many many more were all part of the bash. Not forgetting me, YP and Yi Ting too!

Us being interviewed by the media!

Us with Jim 老师 and 小寒老师 and Serene Kong. I'm so happy to see 小寒老师. I always sing her songs in KTV. She wrote Leehom's Everything too. So cool. I hope one day to be able to co-write with Leehom too. Haha. Havent seen Jim 老师 for sometime also. Like his new hair. Lol. Serene's as sweet as usual. Everyone's happy!

Us with our Flower stand for Hush Puppies!

Us with Jeannie. Thanks for the invite! Thanks for everything!

Finally it was time to choose our shoes. These are the shoes we picked. I like my alot. But because we were running for time, I have to collect it another day. Lol.

I'm really happy to have been part of this event. Hereby wishing Hush Puppies a wonderful anniversary and may Hush Puppies continue to grow, grow and grow! (",)

Anyway saw something on Facebook today. Quite saddening. It's from a friend whom I've known for years. She wrote something quite offensive. I dont know what to say. But just feel that things which you dont know, you shouldnt assume. It's not good to assume as you may cause alot of unhappiness with alot of people. Just hope people can get the clearer picture before shooting their mouth off. Talk is easy, but the consequences are there to bear.

I always say: Assume makes an ASS out of U and ME.

Get it?

ASSUME = ASS + U + ME

So, dont ASSUME!

Good night.

It's Sunday and the last of my hell weekend. Next week today my exams would have ended, test results known and hopefully I can enjoy a good belated Mothers' Day dinner with mummy.

So many things to worry about. Studies, work, health etc etc. Sighs.

Anyway, came across this in the internet. Home of the rich and famous.

This huge mansion is owned by actor John Travolta. Big enough to park two aeroplanes. Omg. Lol. Check out other incredibly huge houses HERE by other celebrities.

When's my turn? Lol.

And finally before I go. I finally exposed the secret behind some girls who always crop their photos. Here is why:
