Xiao Long Bao

I love Xiao Long Baos (小龙包)! I think they are one of the best delicacies in Singapore. Does anyone of you have any recommendations where they serve nice Xiao Long Baos in Singapore? Haha. I thought Din Tai Fung's ones are good, followed by Crystal Jade. Haha. Ok, anyway I went to Mayim today at Westmall. I would say their standard of Xiao Long Bao and food has gone up! Had a pleasing dinner. Also had Mac Donalds breakfast today. Didnt know their breakfast has been extended till noon on weekends and public holidays. Had the urge so I had Mc Griddles. Very nice! Hahaha.

After dinner had ice cream from Udders. First time eating it, but it's nice. I like Rum & Raisin ice cream. (",)

Bah Kut Teh

Today I brought Dad, Mum and Aunt May to Balestier for Bah Kut Teh. We had a pretty expensive dinner, around $60 altogether, but it was nice and satisfying! It's their first time there also. Haha.

Saw the pictures behind me? When you step in the restaurant, you will be overwhelmed with pictures of the Boss and artistes, politicians and all famous people all over the restaurant. There are stars like Jacky Wu, Kang Kang, 周华建,张帝 etc. I saw 黄靖伦's photo there too. Hehe. Will you get to see me on the wall? I dont know. Haha. But I like the food there. (",)

After dinner we headed town for some CNY shopping. Nothing caught my eye, so I didnt buy anything. Then it was suppertalk with Cousin at Yew Tee. Havent had such free Saturdays for some time already. Haha.

Anyway Yujing, I'm not angry with you. Haha. XZXZ.

I hope everyone have a great weekend! Loves!

Every Minute

Does the title sound familiar? Haha. It's actually a direct translation of my song 每分钟. Lol. I received quite a number of good comments of this song. More than I expected and better than I expected actually. I really wanna thank everyone for their kind support and also thank everyone for their encouragement towards me. (",)

Today I sent sms to some people but he/she say I cheapo mass send and what other people send me then I forward out. I so sad already. Lol. I personally hand-typed the message and send one ok. Humph.

Went to eat 鱼头炉 with daddy today at Whampoa. It's really nice and cheap too. You all should go try. It's along Balestier area but they call the place Whampoa. Lol.

Anyway I received a text from a friend just now saying: Calling all friends!! Look up at the moon and then look down... Can you see a bright star? THAT'S MARS!! For the first time in a 100 years Mars is close enough to be viewed!! Dont miss it!! It will be there for about a month but tonight is the clearest!!

There you go. Once in a lifetime you get to see it. Unless you live beyond 100 years of age. I looked up just now and I really saw it. It's really crystal clear. Like a star-like object up there. But it feels cool though. Maybe because it's like you know it happens like first time in a 100 years. Haha. Anyway enjoy the view of Mars, maybe can eat a bar of Mars. So you can see Mars while having Mars. Lol. Lame!

Alright. It's the end of January. First month of the year has come to an end. 2 more weeks to CNY! Or Valentines? Lol.

Help Haiti

I know I may come off as a little late, I know most of you had already known about this, but as of today, Haiti is still in rubbles and chaos. Massive help has been rendered worldwide be it monetarily or physically but till today, Haiti is still in shreds.

Some background info for those who missed the news two weeks ago.

Quote from BBC news website:

A massive 7.0-magnitude earthquake has struck the Caribbean nation of Haiti.

The extent of the devastation is still unclear but there are fears thousands of people may have died.

Haiti's worst quake in two centuries hit south of the capital Port-au-Prince on Tuesday, wrecking the presidential palace, UN HQ and other buildings.

A "large number" of UN personnel were reported missing by the organisation. Many people have spent the night outside amid fears of more aftershocks.

The Red Cross says an estimated three million people have been affected and 70,000 bodies are trapped under the rubble, with up to 200, 000 dead.

Describing the earthquake as a "catastrophe", Haiti's envoy to the US said the cost of the damage could run into billions.

The quake, which struck about 15km (10 miles) south-west of Port-au-Prince, was quickly followed by two strong aftershocks of 5.9 and 5.5 magnitude.

The tremor hit at 1653 (2153 GMT) on Tuesday, the US Geological Survey said. Phone lines to the country failed shortly afterwards.

There is still no official word on casualties and the extent of the devastation is only now becoming clearer with dawn breaking.

There is an extensive and more informative coverage of this tragedy at "dailymail.co.uk". To read, Click HERE.

It's been two weeks.

As of yesterday, there are still hundreds and thousands of people still buried underneath. The entire nation is now facing threats of looting accompanied by shortage of food and water supply. Many people are facing a life and death situation every single moment as you read this.

While we are here enjoying our food, occasionally wasting here and there, the people in Haiti struggling to find food, clothing, water or even a simple shelter.

They need help. I wouldnt want to go on describing or saying more to which how badly the country is affected but knowing it's one of the poorest countries in South America, I think we can all imagine the extent of difficulty of rescue efforts they are facing.

Thank You!

Finally finished writing more than 100 copies of greeting cards. My hands aching now. Haha. I hope you all will like it!

Wanna say a big thank you to Joseph Di, Carol Mei and Serena and EME for helping out today. They started since noon and only just went back only. It’s really hard on you guys, but I truly appreciate it!

The whole of EME together with Joseph, Carol and Serena have been going around helping to collect the coupons and gather everyone to help me cast votes to put my song up the radio charts. I really hope their hardwork will pay off and by having my song up there would be my best mode of payment to them. I really hope it happens! Pray! (",)

Today while walking by Causeway Point I caught two familiar faces. I've seen them on TV before. But they are not artistes. They are a pair of mother and son featured in one of the episodes of a reality tv where Quan Yi Feng and Christopher Lee hosts and bring a group of volunteers to help out families in need. I happened to watch this episode and saw this loving mother and son.

I know it's been hard on the mum having to take care of her son, who is diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy and is constantly on the verge of life and death everyday. His mum was so worried that she could not be by his side when he should unfortunately pass away, she decided to stick with him 24/7, also to take care of him. As a result, her husband is the only sole breadwinner. But they do not seek donations from others. Instead, they decided to do a mini business together, selling tidbits and handmade stuffs outside Causeway Point. I dont know if they frequent other areas but I so happen to see them there. Anyway, I bought some sweet from them and I truly wish them all the best. If one day you guys walk pass Causeway Point and see pair of mother and son, and the son is wheelchair bound, it is them. Do show your support to them.

Anyway, I’m blessed to have a lot of people helping me here and there. Love all of you!

Thank you all!

Donut Empire With Elson Soh!

Yesterday's event is my first event and public appearance for 2010, and I'm happy to announce that it is very successful! Within 45 minutes, all 300+ Elson Chocolate Donuts were snapped up and sold out! Woo! But I do apologise to those who make a trip down specially and yet didnt get to taste the donuts. Really sorry.

To the rest who made it happen, THANK YOU!

It's my first time selling donuts. So I was a little lost at first. But luckily the friendly staffs of Donut Empire were there to guide and help me!

Do I look professional here? Hahaha.

This is Ice, the boss of Shine Models with Helen. Happy that they came down! Very touched too! :)

Made new malay friends today. They are very shy but very supportive. Thank you!

After 45 minutes, all Elson Chocolate Donuts were sold out and upon everybody's request, I had some hands on trying to make my very own Elson Chocolate Donut. Haha.

It's really not easy making these donuts. I can truly understand the hardwork being put into making these few thousand donuts eaten by us everyday. It's definitely worth the price paid.

Tada! Finally done. But I made a messed out of it. Haha.

Still, it was successfully auctioned off to two lucky friends of mine, Shirley and Mandy!

I hope it's as nice as those made by the professionals of Donut Empire. Haha. After that I signed on the two huge posters and gave one away to somebody who can raise his or her hands the fastest and Shirley got it after answering a question by the Emcee. The other one was of course presented to Donut Empire! Cheers!

One last group photo to mark the end of today's event. (",)

Two surprise visitors came today. Haha. They didnt get to taste the Elson Chocolate Donut but they pre-ordered my album. So sweet!

And of course, my good bro Andy was here also. And so was PG and Doreen, but my photos with them are not with me now. :(

Appearance at Donut Empire

After school today, met Boss, Joseph and Serena at IMM, as we went to attend Huang Jing Lun (黃靖倫)’s autograph session. Have heard much about this fellow Singaporean, about his dreams and his passion. Have seen him on TV during the 星光大道 competition. Today, I want to support this fellow local artiste who have achieved his dream, like how I want to achieve mine too.

From a supporter point of view, I would give him two thumbs up for how he behaved towards his fans and supporters and how he tries his best to make sure everyone is happy. From a musician point of view, I would give him two thumbs up for his singing techniques and unique vocal tone. Every rendition of his songs makes him Him. He also have pretty good stage presence and star factor. Overall as Singaporean, I’m happy for him. Well done Jing Lun. Must buy his new album! (“,)

After that we went for dinner. Finally get to eat my favourite snacks from Shi Lin. Haha. Anyway took some (unglam) pics during dinner. Noone wanted to pose for a nice photo, so that’s why I end up with all these unglam photos. Hahahaha.
