Xiao Long Bao

I love Xiao Long Baos (小龙包)! I think they are one of the best delicacies in Singapore. Does anyone of you have any recommendations where they serve nice Xiao Long Baos in Singapore? Haha. I thought Din Tai Fung's ones are good, followed by Crystal Jade. Haha. Ok, anyway I went to Mayim today at Westmall. I would say their standard of Xiao Long Bao and food has gone up! Had a pleasing dinner. Also had Mac Donalds breakfast today. Didnt know their breakfast has been extended till noon on weekends and public holidays. Had the urge so I had Mc Griddles. Very nice! Hahaha.

After dinner had ice cream from Udders. First time eating it, but it's nice. I like Rum & Raisin ice cream. (",)

Bah Kut Teh

Today I brought Dad, Mum and Aunt May to Balestier for Bah Kut Teh. We had a pretty expensive dinner, around $60 altogether, but it was nice and satisfying! It's their first time there also. Haha.

Saw the pictures behind me? When you step in the restaurant, you will be overwhelmed with pictures of the Boss and artistes, politicians and all famous people all over the restaurant. There are stars like Jacky Wu, Kang Kang, 周华建,张帝 etc. I saw 黄靖伦's photo there too. Hehe. Will you get to see me on the wall? I dont know. Haha. But I like the food there. (",)

After dinner we headed town for some CNY shopping. Nothing caught my eye, so I didnt buy anything. Then it was suppertalk with Cousin at Yew Tee. Havent had such free Saturdays for some time already. Haha.

Anyway Yujing, I'm not angry with you. Haha. XZXZ.

I hope everyone have a great weekend! Loves!

Every Minute

Does the title sound familiar? Haha. It's actually a direct translation of my song 每分钟. Lol. I received quite a number of good comments of this song. More than I expected and better than I expected actually. I really wanna thank everyone for their kind support and also thank everyone for their encouragement towards me. (",)

Today I sent sms to some people but he/she say I cheapo mass send and what other people send me then I forward out. I so sad already. Lol. I personally hand-typed the message and send one ok. Humph.

Went to eat 鱼头炉 with daddy today at Whampoa. It's really nice and cheap too. You all should go try. It's along Balestier area but they call the place Whampoa. Lol.

Anyway I received a text from a friend just now saying: Calling all friends!! Look up at the moon and then look down... Can you see a bright star? THAT'S MARS!! For the first time in a 100 years Mars is close enough to be viewed!! Dont miss it!! It will be there for about a month but tonight is the clearest!!

There you go. Once in a lifetime you get to see it. Unless you live beyond 100 years of age. I looked up just now and I really saw it. It's really crystal clear. Like a star-like object up there. But it feels cool though. Maybe because it's like you know it happens like first time in a 100 years. Haha. Anyway enjoy the view of Mars, maybe can eat a bar of Mars. So you can see Mars while having Mars. Lol. Lame!

Alright. It's the end of January. First month of the year has come to an end. 2 more weeks to CNY! Or Valentines? Lol.

Help Haiti

I know I may come off as a little late, I know most of you had already known about this, but as of today, Haiti is still in rubbles and chaos. Massive help has been rendered worldwide be it monetarily or physically but till today, Haiti is still in shreds.

Some background info for those who missed the news two weeks ago.

Quote from BBC news website:

A massive 7.0-magnitude earthquake has struck the Caribbean nation of Haiti.

The extent of the devastation is still unclear but there are fears thousands of people may have died.

Haiti's worst quake in two centuries hit south of the capital Port-au-Prince on Tuesday, wrecking the presidential palace, UN HQ and other buildings.

A "large number" of UN personnel were reported missing by the organisation. Many people have spent the night outside amid fears of more aftershocks.

The Red Cross says an estimated three million people have been affected and 70,000 bodies are trapped under the rubble, with up to 200, 000 dead.

Describing the earthquake as a "catastrophe", Haiti's envoy to the US said the cost of the damage could run into billions.

The quake, which struck about 15km (10 miles) south-west of Port-au-Prince, was quickly followed by two strong aftershocks of 5.9 and 5.5 magnitude.

The tremor hit at 1653 (2153 GMT) on Tuesday, the US Geological Survey said. Phone lines to the country failed shortly afterwards.

There is still no official word on casualties and the extent of the devastation is only now becoming clearer with dawn breaking.

It's been two weeks.

As of yesterday, there are still hundreds and thousands of people still buried underneath. The entire nation is now facing threats of looting accompanied by shortage of food and water supply. Many people are facing a life and death situation every single moment as you read this.

While we are here enjoying our food, occasionally wasting here and there, the people in Haiti struggling to find food, clothing, water or even a simple shelter.

They need help. I wouldnt want to go on describing or saying more to which how badly the country is affected but knowing it's one of the poorest countries in South America, I think we can all imagine the extent of difficulty of rescue efforts they are facing.

Here in Singapore, some of us may find it hard to do direct volunteering due to our commitments and other reasons, but I believe a little monetary contribution shouldnt be a problem to most of us. So please, I appeal to all, please help.

Thank You.
