My Ancestor

I caught this film some time ago, but I forgot to blog it down. I felt bad because I really like this show and I hope to share it and recommend it to everyone! Plus, it's a true story of a Mr Soh. Lol. Maybe he is my ancestor? (",)

蘇乞兒 TRUE LEGEND

Genre: Action
Director: Woo Ping Yuen
Cast: Vincent Chiu, Vincent Zhao, David Carradine, Jay Chou, Zhou XunCarter, Mia Wasikowska
RunTime: 1 hr 55 mins
Rating: PG

Movie Synopsis
So Chan (Vincent Chiu) was a wealthy man obsessed with kung-fu who fell from grace after he and his family became the victims of conspiracies. Eventually, he rises from his compromised state as a beggar and transforms himself into a martial arts master, patriot and folk hero, honoured as the "King of Beggars".

Movie Review
I like this movie! The martial arts inside was really damn cool. Maybe I'm a fan of action flicks, therefore this movie swept me off my feet. Zhou Xun plays a pretty good role as a good wife while the villains really showed a face of a villain. Everything is in place in the movie. However, the part where he became a beggar was a lil too short. Other than that, it's good! And he is Mr SOH also. HAHA.

On top of that, my idol Jay Chou also had a cameo role in it and I would say it's his best role ever since he started off acting.

Aunty Visit

Before anybody start going ewwwwwwww, it's not THAT Aunty Visit, but the real Aunty Visit. But it's not the real Aunty Visit, but rather a real Aunty visit. Lol. Dont be confused. It's my Aunty Visit. Haha.

My Aunty is staying over for the weekend. (",)

Hopefully it will be a fruitful one. Thanks Boss for giving me adequate time off to keep her company. Will be bringing her around. Anyway I saw this disgusting sight when I went to a toilet at one of the shopping centre.

Warning: The image below is DISGUSTING. View at your own discretion!!!

Ok, maybe not as disgusting here. I think cause the pic is small and I do not have it in high res. But being there, I tell you, I can faint on the spot.

I think that fella left the cubicle without his pants on. Lol. Guess he couldnt control his bowels and the "stuff" just squirt out and because he dirtied his pants, he conveniently threw it in the toilet bowl. Not forgetting the strong stench lurking when I entered the toilet. Wondered how the people inside can stand it.

Alice In Wonderland

Genre: Action
Director: Tim Burton
Cast: Matt Lucas, Johnny Depp, Stephen Fry, Paul Whitehouse, Helena Bonham Carter, Mia Wasikowska
RunTime: 1 hr 50 mins
Rating: PG

Movie Synopsis
17-year-old Alice (Mia Wasikowska) attends a party at a Victorian estate only to find she is about to be proposed to in front of hundreds of snooty society types. She runs off, following the White Rabbit (Michael Sheen) into a hole and ends up in Wonderland, a place she visited in a similar manner 10 years before, yet doesn't remember. Wonderland was a peaceful kingdom until the Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter) overthrew her sister, the White Queen (Anne Hathaway). The creatures of Wonderland, such as the Cheshire Cat (Stephen Fry), Tweedledee and Tweedledum (Matt Lucas) and the March Hare (Paul Whitehouse), ready to revolt, wait for Alice to help them. With the help of the White Queen, the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) and the Caterpillar (Alan Rickman), Alice starts seeing flashbacks of her original visit, back when she was seven.

Movie Review
One sentence: Short and Sweet. Ok, I would admit that despite this being a famous story, I've never read the book or watch any related cartoons or even shows and movies related to Alice In Wonderland. Therefore, I went inside with absolutely no idea of the storyline and stuff. I even confused it with Wizard of Oz, which I conveniently told Boss that this is the story with the Tinman, Scarecrow and the Lion. Lol.

Anyway, after watching this movie, I would say I like it. It's not very long and neither is it draggy. I think it's just nice. But being a kid movie, there are a few unrealistic moments. And also I felt that the ending war part was a little too fast and not well elaborated.

I like Johnny Depp's acting and the fact that they used Alan Rickman's voice for the caterpillar. Alan is the guy who acted as Severus Snape in the Harry Potter movies. His voice is so distinctive I felt like I was watching Harry Potter. Haha.

I think overall, I would say it's a nice movie.
