Birthday in less than 72 hours!

Photobucket

Today marks the end of the first week of lessons. Was our first IBM (Introduction to Business & Management) lecture. When I first stepped in the lecture theatre, I got the shock of my life. Lol! My lecture notes for this module is 1645 pages! It's even thicker than a Harry Potter book. Can faint!

Mr Nageb is our lecturer. He's quite nice I would say. Just that I think the previous batch of students really left a very bad impression to the lecturers that they think that we are a bunch of rowdy students who dont like to study, which is just the exact opposite.

Anyway after school, Jonathan drove me and Christella down to Evergreen Stationary at Clementi West. We needed to bind our notes and I decided to bring them to Godma's place to do it. Called Godma before we went there and she help us settle nicely already before we even reach there. Thank you Godma!

When I reached, the staff there are very friendly. One of them actually went to Bukit Timah Plaza and she recognised me. Lol! I also bought a file and a box of clips for school. After that we took a group photo and left back for school.

After school I accompanied dad to Tagore Lane to collect the wine for my birthday. Then we went Evergreen office to collect the water ionizer as well as the birthday cards from sis Wendy office.

Had dinner with family at Westmall. It's been some time we sat down and eat dinner together.

At night Boss they all came to collect the stuffs and we all went supper together. As I reached home, I realised that my keys are missing! So the kind uncle and my two bros behind accompanied me all the way back to the food place to search. But couldnt find. So I went home and luckily for me my sis is still awake and she opened the door for me. Boss called after to tell me the good news that my keys actually dropped in Jason's car.

In the build up to my big event this coming Sunday, many people have asked me what I want and what I needed. But most of them are already taken. The rest are just unattainable stuffs like Mac Book Pro and iphone 3G(S). Lol! (My mother scold me for wanting to get these). Anyway, maybe a red packet will do, because I believe a red packet can bring me more lucks! Lol!

Speaking of that, I would like to thank Helen for being so nice to me. Thank you Helen! I really appreciate your thoughts but the gift is really too expensive for me to allow you to buy it. Really really really thank you thought!

Birthday in less than 72 hours. Very excited! (",)

Counting Down

I missed blogging yesterday. Too tired. Lol! Work has been piling up and up and up. Starting to feel the heat.

School has been pretty boring. Except for the friends I see everyday. Lol!

Today I hear some shock and sad news about someone. Early morning some more. Quite sian to hear these kinda news. It's never ending. I just hope all these wont affect my friendship with anyone again. I've always been a victim of such malicious acts done behind my back. Well, forget it.

Photobucket

After school I headed to Tagore Lane to look for Boss as he's having meeting with Godma, Godsis, Bro Francis and Bro Jason. The invitation card is very nice I saw today! (",)

Anyway halfway through the meeting, Boss said something very touching and Godma cried. First time seeing her cry. It's really touching.

Headed down to Civic Centre later to meet our latest members of RIG. They seem very motivated and passionate about the whole thing. I really hope we can work things out together and make RIG very successful!

Oh ya, and Mandy and Evon spoiler. Show me my present before Sunday's event. So bad. I have to tell them to bring home and bring again on Sunday. Lol! And sweet Helen wanted to buy me something very very expensive. But I told her not to already. I really really appreciate the thought! Thanks!

Bukit Timah Plaza is our last stop. There were some last minute changes and Boss was very angry, he scream at Eileen. Poor Eileen, caught in the middle of nowhere, she didnt know what to do. I mean, first time I see Boss so fierce to her also. She almost broke down I think. Luckily everything was settled. It's good to learn from Boss, as in the way he handles such situations. I think I'd have reacted like Kelvin today, so it's a good learning experience for me. Books can bring you somewhere but EXPERIENCE brings you everywhere.

Photobucket

Anyway, did any of you see my picture at TODAY paper? Lol! Must thanks Eileen for giving me such a good exposure. Thank you Eileen Da Jie!

I didnt join them for dinner as I didnt feel like eating. One thing I have to finish up my homework, the other is I really feel stressed up. Somethings I cant really write out here. But I really feel the pressure and I feel bad because I know I am the cause of it. Haiz. I just hope everything can turn out well.

Movie Review - Blood Ties

Blood Ties (还魂)

Movie Synopsis

On the 7th night of his death, Shun's spirit returns to possess his little sister Qing to exact revenge on those who brutally murdered him and his beloved wife. This is a thriller set in a supernatural context, with characters caught in a web of love, betrayal, and revenge. This tale of vengeance starts with Qing, already possessed, trying to enlist the help of his ex-colleague to seek his revenge. The whole story unfolds in the course of one night, as we see how a little girl possessed by a man, hunts down his killers one by one.

Movie Review

Overall I felt that the movie was great! I like the plot as well as how the movie sequence is arranged. At first I really cannot tell what is going on. But the movie offers a couple of good twists here and there, revealing what actually happened till the very end. So it's suspense and surprises all the way till the end of movie. Also the movie is filmed in a very "Hong Kong movie" fashion, which takes local production to greater heights. Sound effects are nicely done unlike most horror flicks which provides unnecessary and too much "scare" effects, this movie's well balanced

What I didnt like about the movie is the violence. I expected more graphical violence! Lol! Ok , I'm not encouraging violence or what, but having a rating of M18, I expected a little more. But for the faint heart and the not-so-gore supporters, this movie is just nice. It gives the faint idea of what's going on, showing the end phase with not so much graphical effects.

I think this is a movie worth watching! Let's all support local production!

Bonus: The theme songs are really nice too!

Overall rating - 4 / 5
