A Day Out with Tim!

First and foremost, I would like to apologise to Tim for oversleeping yesterday. Was supposed to meet him at 12pm but I end up waking up at 1pm. So i rushed down to meet him asap! Lol!

Tim brought me to Pariss International Buffet today at Marina Square. Super expensive and nice place! Have always wanted to go try but because of the price, I didnt and today, I finally got my chance to try out their food. All thanks to Tim! Anyway I didnt really get the full satisfaction because when we reach there it was already 1.45pm and the buffet closes at 2.40pm. So we sort of rushed through our eating. Faint!

Look at the place, very nice right! The spread there is ok. There is a variety Japanese, Chinese, Western and Mixed Seafood. I tried their Crocodile Meat Bah Kut Teh also. Of course I didnt take the meat. Lol!

After lunch, Tim and I cabbed to Bugis Junction Jean Yip Makeover to collect my photos. Then we headed down to Guan Yin Temple to pray. I prayed for Tim's health also. After praying we headed back, dropping by Boss's place to pass his the CD before going home.

Tim and I had a heart to heart talk yesterday. I just want to tell Tim that, Elson will always be there for you. You have to be strong and have faith. Must take good care of yourself also. If there is anything I can do, let me know. 加油! Let's fight together!

Movie Review - I Love You, Man

I Love You, Man

Before the movie, I went into the cinema not knowing what to expect. I thought it would be some kind of cheap flick or some typical Hollywood romance movie or some kind of melodrama. I was wrong.

Movie Synopsis

I Love You, Man, is a comedy about Peter Klaven (Paul Rudd) a very successful real estate agent who, upon getting engaged to the woman of his dreams, Zooey, (Rashida Jones) discovers, to his dismay, that he has no male friend close enough to serve as his Best Man. Peter immediately sets out, embarking on a series of bizarre and awkward man-dates, before meeting Sydney Fife (Jason Segel), a charming, opinionated man with whom he instantly bonds. But the closer the two men get, the more Peter’s relationship with Zooey suffers, ultimately forcing him to choose between his fiancée and his new found buddy.

Movie Review

An entertaining comedy flick that is bound to bring up many laughter throughout the entire movie. This is a movie that will certainly not bore you out during any part of the movie. However there are some scenes, based on the theme of homosexuality, which some viewers might get uncomfortable about. For example, there’s a French kissing between Peter Klaven and Doug at the end of a dinner date.

However the plot is good, depicting real life problems that people face, but still managing to keep a sense of humour in the movie. It teaches one the importance of having close friends and shows us the many things that friends do for each other. Overall, I would recommend it to everybody who wants to watch a movie with a decent storyline and yet is out to have a good laugh.

Overall rating - 3.5 / 5

Movie Preview @ The Cathay

Attended the movie preview of I Love You, Man today at The Cathay. Very excited as this is the first time I got invited to do a movie review! Lol! I brought Mandy along as my partner, hope she enjoyed the movie too. (",)

Met her at Yishun Mrt Station and we took train down to Dhoby Ghuat. Was very hungry so I suggested that we have dinner first and so we headed to the food court upstairs at Plaza Singapura. It was super crowded and the stall that I wanted to eat from has a super duper long queue. So I had to drop the idea and settled for something else instead or we will be late for the movie. We took turns to buy before tucking in our dinner quick. After dinner, we rushed over to The Cathay, where the movie preview was held.

On our way there I saw these dinosaur exhibitions at level one and was pretty amazed by it and so I took some photos of it. Lol! Faint!

Upon arrival at The Cathay, we were almost late due to the huge crowd waiting for the lift. Luckily for us, we managed to squeeze in one of the lifts after waiting for 4 lifts. After signing beside my name at their record-sheet, we were presented with the movie tickets as well as 2 OMY lanyards as souvenirs. The person-in-charge then requested to take a photo of us and we agreed, only to get her to return us the favour later. Lol!

The movie was great, the hall was so packed, leaving only a few seats in the first row empty. Stay tuned for my movie review later in the morning!

After movie I sent her home before cabbing to meet Boss to accompany him for supper as he was not feeling well. Daniel joined us too. After supper they both walked me home. Hope Boss can recover soon as he have been sick for nearly a week liao.

Lunch with Tim tomorrow! Cant wait! (",)
