A Tough Road

It's tough being in the Entertainment Industry. This, I've known since 4 years back. All the glamour you see on screen and on stage are what are the result of hours and days and months of hard work. Noone sees that. When you do wrong, you get criticised. Though I have not been through real hardcore hardships, I would still say that it's never easy being an artiste. It's more than what you see, more than what most people perceive and believe.

I'm saying this because recently, two artistes from Mediacorp left and decided to call it quits. Both cited personal reasons and personal time and space. I'm sad because Dawn has been one of my favourite actress since I first saw her at Teens Model Search at Plaza Singapura. I think she's really cute and I hope to be able to work with her one day. When I heard she was preparing for her album, I was excited. But now, she has decided to leave the industry.

Jessica on the other hand, I saw her filming at Studio 6 once while I was at Mediacorp for my acting classes. She's really beautiful in person, and she's very friendly too. Her professionalism and charisma attracted me. Felt sad that she had to leave. I hoped she could do more.

Whatever it is, one thing is for sure, I'll miss them. I wish them all the best in their future endeavours. Best Wishes!

I'll be attending Hippo and Duck tour with OMY.sg tomorrow. My first visit!

How To Train Your Dragon

Genre: Fantasy
Director: Dean Deblois, Chris Sanders
Cast (Voice of): Gerard Butler, Jonah Hill, Jay Baruchel
RunTime: 1 hr 35 mins
Rating: PG

Movie Synopsis
From the studio that brought you "Shrek," "Madagascar" and "Kung Fu Panda" comes "How to Train Your Dragon" - a comedy adventure set in the mythical world of burly Vikings and wild dragons, based on the book by Cressida Cowell. The story centers around a Viking teenager named Hiccup, who lives on the island of Berk, where fighting dragons is a way of life. The teen's smarts and offbeat sense of humor don't sit too well with his tribe or its chief, who happens to be Hiccup's father. However, when Hiccup is included in Dragon Training with the other Viking teens, he sees his chance to prove he has what it takes to be a fighter. But when he encounters (and ultimately befriends) an injured dragon, his world is flipped upside down, and what started out as Hiccup's one shot to prove himself turns into an opportunity to set a new course for the future of the entire tribe.

Movie Review

Absolutely stunning movie. Little wonder there have been so many people recommending me to watch this film. It's definately worth the price anytime anyday. Animal lovers should watch this movie. People who likes Stitch should watch this movie (because the dragon Toothless really have a strong resemblance to Stitch). In any case, I strongly recommend everyone to watch it. No regrets! Promise!

F&N Singapore Dance Delight 2010

Went to watch the Preliminaries of F&N Singapore Dance Delight on 27 March 2010 (Saturday) at Takashimaya Shopping Centre after receiving the invitation from OMY. I was quite surprised to see so many peoples there waiting for the competition to start. I believe most of them are the contestant's supporters.

The competition kick off at 7.30pm sharp and many teams took part to challenge for the best street dancers to represent Singapore at Dance Delight Vol. 17 in Osaka, Japan.

Many contestant teams are excited to showcase their power dance on stage. I would say that there are many skillful and talented dancers in Singapore. I'm so proud to be there to do a blog write-up for OMY last Saturday.

This event not only attracted many youngsters, it also capture the attention of aunties and uncles as well. Saw the picture below? Wow! Even aunties are amazed by the contestant's dances. I personally felt that we should have this type of contest more often as it can bring everybody closer too. (",)

I did a video recording for two team and share with my readers and supporters. Actually for more information on the next round, you can also visit http://www.dancedelight.sg/.

Short Clip from two of the Teams

LIVE Interview from the audiences

Video Clips of the Three Teams that I liked!

More video clips are available at Youtube. You guys may check it out at Youtube and tell me in my chatbox which team do you like. Let me know your answer ok? :)

F&N is the presenter for Singapore Dance Delight 2010. Apart from that, they also take care of all the supporters and audiences by serving free soft-drinks at Orchard Road during the competition. Of course myself and rest of my friends also went to get ourself a cup as well. I'm always a fan of F&N drinks anyway. Lol.

Remember them? They are Andy and Ah Wei, members of SOUL from Superband Season 1. Took a picture of them too. They are great dancers and they are there to support this event. SOUL rock!

The winner of Singapore Dance Delight Vol. 1 will represent Singapore in Dance Delight Volume 17 in Osaka, on 21 August 2010.
