Appearance at Donut Empire

After school today, met Boss, Joseph and Serena at IMM, as we went to attend Huang Jing Lun (黃靖倫)’s autograph session. Have heard much about this fellow Singaporean, about his dreams and his passion. Have seen him on TV during the 星光大道 competition. Today, I want to support this fellow local artiste who have achieved his dream, like how I want to achieve mine too.

From a supporter point of view, I would give him two thumbs up for how he behaved towards his fans and supporters and how he tries his best to make sure everyone is happy. From a musician point of view, I would give him two thumbs up for his singing techniques and unique vocal tone. Every rendition of his songs makes him Him. He also have pretty good stage presence and star factor. Overall as Singaporean, I’m happy for him. Well done Jing Lun. Must buy his new album! (“,)

After that we went for dinner. Finally get to eat my favourite snacks from Shi Lin. Haha. Anyway took some (unglam) pics during dinner. Noone wanted to pose for a nice photo, so that’s why I end up with all these unglam photos. Hahahaha.

Joseph complaining Serena never finish her food.

Guess who?

Nobody but you. hahahaha.

Today we went to watch Hachiko at AMK Hub.

Hachikō: A Dog's Story

Genre: Drama
Director: Lasse Hallstrom
Cast: Sarah Roemer, Richard Gere, Joan Allen
RunTime: 1 hr 33 mins
Rating: PG

Movie Synopsis
This heartwarming true story is an American adaptation of a Japanese tale about a loyal dog named Hachiko. This very special friend would accompany his master to the train station every day and return each afternoon to greet him after work. Sadly his master departs one day, passes away and never returns to the station. Hachiko faithfully returns to the same spot at the station the very next day, and every day for the next nine years to wait for his beloved master. During his daily visits, Hachiko touches the lives of many who work near and commute through the town square. He teaches the local people love, compassion and above all unyielding loyalty. Today, a bronze statue of Hachiko sits in his waiting spot outside the Shibuya station in Japan as a permanent reminder of his devotion and love.

Movie Review
This is a unique movie. It's a non fiction, true story of a dog. In the movie, the director also specially filmed certain parts of the movie from a dog's perspective, and also adding a black and white effect to let viewers know that we are in a realistic dog's point of view. A relatively touching story. It's a must see for all dog lovers, but please bring your tissue along.

Overall Rating: 4/5

After movie, we went to Breadtalk to get some bread before heading for recording. A group of girls asked if we want to combine bill to get the promotion price. Boss agreed but after that decided to give them a treat instead. But they were too shy and kept insisting to pay. Haha. Damn cute la.

Anyway I know one of them gave her name as Jun, while I didnt manage to get the other two's name. So if you're here, do leave a tag, and enjoy your bread. (",)

Went for my recording of jingle for LOVE 97.2FM. Not easy as well. Lol. Anyway I also recorded a few chinese new year blessing note to all the listeners from different radio stations, namely, JIA 88.3FM, YES 93.3FM, Capital 95.8FM, Love 97.2FM, Radio 100.3FM and Redifusion.

Hope the DJs like it, just a small appreciation from me for taking care of ME for the past few years till today. Thank you!

A Dog's Story

Had dinner with family today after a long day in school. We went to a Taiwan Japanese Restaurant at Robertson Quay. Not too bad, but WE still prefer Liu San Ge as it is much more delicious there. Haha.

After dinner we went nearby for dessert, Laurent Cafe & Chocolate Bar. They serve really nice chocolate desserts there.

I like their Warm Chocolate Cake. Prices are reasonable too.

Mouth Watering eh? :)

Anyway, Boss told me about this movie that he wanted to watch today. I want to watch it too! The movie title is "Hachikō: A Dog's Story", a true story based on a dog's loyalty to it's owner.

Extract from Wikipedia:

Picture of Hachikō

In 1924, Hachikō was brought to Tokyo by his owner, Hidesaburō Ueno, a professor in the agriculture department at the University of Tokyo. During his owner's life Hachikō saw him off from the front door and greeted him at the end of the day at the nearby Shibuya Station. The pair continued their daily routine until May 1925, when Professor Ueno did not return on the usual train one evening. The professor had suffered a stroke at the university that day. He died and never returned to the train station where his friend was waiting.

Hachikō was given away after his master's death, but he routinely escaped, showing up again and again at his old home. Eventually, Hachikō apparently realized that Professor Ueno no longer lived at the house. So he went to look for his master at the train station where he had accompanied him so many times before. Each day, Hachikō waited for Professor Ueno to return. And each day he did not see his friend among the commuters at the station.

The permanent fixture at the train station that was Hachikō attracted the attention of other commuters. Many of the people who frequented the Shibuya train station had seen Hachikō and Professor Ueno together each day. They brought Hachikō treats and food to nourish him during his wait.

This continued for 10 years, with Hachikō appearing only in the evening time, precisely when the train was due at the station.

Hachikō eventually passed away.

This movie is a remake of the 1987 movie: Hachikō Monogatari. I was 1 year old then, so I guess I didnt have the luck to catch it. Luckily they remade it. Haha. I'll go catch it when I have the time. You guys should too!!

Intriguing eh? :)

Boss told me that he read a similiar story in one book called "The Pet Hero", and it was like 15 years ago. I want to WATCH it!
黑夜 wrote something sad again. Share with you guys.

过去点滴像雕刻 深深的刻进心里
从陌生到相识 从相惜到最后的离别
毕竟我们过了界 不再是朋友更不是恋人
不问为什么 也没说再见
只知道我真的用了心 对你
