Exams Preparations

So fast and it's April already. Anybody got pranked on on April Fools? LOL!

The header of this post seems boring, but it is exactly what I'm doing right now. As you guys know, apart from being an artiste, I am also a student. And being a student means attending lessons, having assignments and last of all, examinations.

I would gladly admit that I'm not a 'books person', which is to say I'm not good at studying. I cant say that I can give you guys "study tips", but I would like to share about preparing for exams my way. Lol.

Firstly, it doesnt help when you have a lecturer who teaches like this. Half of the time I cant make out what he's talking about and the other half was spent trying to decipher his "doctor" style handwriting.

See what I meant? Lol. So most of the times I have to do my own revision and self-study.

It helps to have a handy tablet on the go. For me, I store all my papers and assignments in my iPad, which I bring everywhere I go. As for my notes, they only give us hard copies, else you will see me only bringing my iPad everywhere I go. It also help if you download the apps which allows you to take notes on the pdf files. There are a few free apps around in itunes which you guys can use.
Secondly, get yourself a study buddy or form a study group. For me, I dont really like to study alone as it can be quite frustrating if you dont understand what you are reading and you have noone to ask. With a group of friends, you can ask each other questions and discuss together, which makes understanding a whole lot easier.

Thirdly, the place I study at is important for me. Always pick a place where you can feel comfortable for a few hours (home will be a good choice but I often get too comfortable and end up sleeping. Lol). My top choice is certainly Starbucks. There's coffee, cakes, free wi-fi, powerpoint access etc etc, what more can you ask for?

They also have fruit juices available if you are not a fan of coffee. Would personally recommend Cloudy Apple juice. Yum yum!

Start with a plan, a realistic one. Like how many chapters are you going to complete within the few hours you are staying there, and do it. You can try to choose which subjects to study at different times. Also, take note of the time your brain is most active at. Then you can fully maximize your time spent studying. For me it's usually at night. Lol.

Yup, that's how I prepare myself for my exams. What about you guys? Share with me and maybe I'll get some tips. You can leave me a message or tweet me through twitter.

Speaking of which, have you guys followed me? Click HERE if you havent!!! ;)

Would appreciate if you'd click the "Follow" button. Tweet to me today!

Loves.
