Random Thoughts

Weather now: Rainy

It you walk away, everyday it will rain, rain, rain.

These few weeks havent been the best for me. Somehow many things happening that isnt according to what I had hoped. Exam's coming and I just dont feel prepared at all. There are so many things to do yet so little time. So many readings, so many revisions, so many work to do. I just try my best to finish them all.

Ever felt useless at doing something which you werent good at? That's what I'm feeling now.

Many times people ask me to do something. More often than not before doing something I know the outcome of the situation. Not because I'm a genius but because I know myself. I know what I'm good at and what I'm not.

If I commit to a project or something, I make sure I do it and most of the time I succeed and complete the job to near perfection.

When I say "No", to something, it's not because I'm lazy or what. But rather I know it cant be done with my current capabilities due to my own nature, the way I am brought up and the character of myself.

But people always take my "No" differently based on their own judgement and criticise me for my attitude. Very often, my "No" is always true. The project or matter ends up as a failure. Sucky thing is, when that ends up as a failure, it is my fault because I am supposed to be "able to succeed no matter what".

People dont understand me at all. They demand, and expect it to be delivered to them. When they fail, they keep quiet. When I fail, it's my fault.

Many times I choose to keep quiet and just follow and that's only because I dont want to argue. I hate to argue and I hate unhappiness. How many actually realised that I dont like it but I keep quiet and do things for the sake of making other people happy?

How I wish there was someone who can truly understand me.

I wished for happiness, but all I get is emptiness..

Sorry for ranting. Sometimes things just aint too rosy. Sometimes I need an avenue to vent my frustrations, my thoughts. Sometimes, I just need an understanding heart and a listening ear..

Exams Preparations

So fast and it's April already. Anybody got pranked on on April Fools? LOL!

The header of this post seems boring, but it is exactly what I'm doing right now. As you guys know, apart from being an artiste, I am also a student. And being a student means attending lessons, having assignments and last of all, examinations.

I would gladly admit that I'm not a 'books person', which is to say I'm not good at studying. I cant say that I can give you guys "study tips", but I would like to share about preparing for exams my way. Lol.

Firstly, it doesnt help when you have a lecturer who teaches like this. Half of the time I cant make out what he's talking about and the other half was spent trying to decipher his "doctor" style handwriting.

See what I meant? Lol. So most of the times I have to do my own revision and self-study.

It helps to have a handy tablet on the go. For me, I store all my papers and assignments in my iPad, which I bring everywhere I go. As for my notes, they only give us hard copies, else you will see me only bringing my iPad everywhere I go. It also help if you download the apps which allows you to take notes on the pdf files. There are a few free apps around in itunes which you guys can use.
Secondly, get yourself a study buddy or form a study group. For me, I dont really like to study alone as it can be quite frustrating if you dont understand what you are reading and you have noone to ask. With a group of friends, you can ask each other questions and discuss together, which makes understanding a whole lot easier.

Thirdly, the place I study at is important for me. Always pick a place where you can feel comfortable for a few hours (home will be a good choice but I often get too comfortable and end up sleeping. Lol). My top choice is certainly Starbucks. There's coffee, cakes, free wi-fi, powerpoint access etc etc, what more can you ask for?

They also have fruit juices available if you are not a fan of coffee. Would personally recommend Cloudy Apple juice. Yum yum!

Start with a plan, a realistic one. Like how many chapters are you going to complete within the few hours you are staying there, and do it. You can try to choose which subjects to study at different times. Also, take note of the time your brain is most active at. Then you can fully maximize your time spent studying. For me it's usually at night. Lol.

Yup, that's how I prepare myself for my exams. What about you guys? Share with me and maybe I'll get some tips. You can leave me a message or tweet me through twitter.

Speaking of which, have you guys followed me? Click HERE if you havent!!! ;)

Would appreciate if you'd click the "Follow" button. Tweet to me today!

Ides Of March

Hello peeps! Miss me? Haha. Time flies and it's the end of March already. It's been a busy month for me because examinations are round the corner. On top of that I'm also preparing for my 2nd album. This time round there are surprises installed for everyone so I'm working very hard on it!

To start of the post, here's a picture of me some time back. Haha. This was taken in my friend's restaurant, Ice Edge Cafe. It's located at Kovan and it's a really nice place. I love the food there. Will do a more detailed introduction of the place there the next time, promise!

Speaking about which, there are also many food that I missed eating. I think I'm a foodie. Is anybody a foodie too? Introduce me places with good food? Haha.

I miss eating lok lok. There are no really known places in Singapore which sells lok lok. So the only way to satisfy the craving is to cross the causeway to Malaysia. But again, the only chances I have is when I go over for my promotional tour. Hope to see my fans in Malaysia soon!

Another craving I have is...

These are authentic Xiao Long Baos (小笼包) from Shanghai's Nan Xiang Village (南翔小镇). It's about 1-2 hours drive from the city. The food there is really really cheap and good. The only place where you can have really good XLBs. The shops around there are all century old shops (百年老店) and they all have a long long history. If you all go to Shanghai next time, be sure to visit 南翔!

Lastly is this....! Yam Balls Shaven Ice (芋园牛奶冰). These are only available at Lu Gang Restaurant in Shanghai. I cant find these in Singapore or Malaysia. If anyone knows anywhere in Singapore or Malaysia that sells this, please let me know alright! I will fly there immediately! This is a MUST-TRY!

Before I sign off my post here is one more photo of me! In a salon in Shanghai. (",)

I hope to be able to visit Shanghai soon!

Stumbled upon this photo while browsing through my photos:

I dont know if you guys remember them, they are the friendly staffs of CD-Rama! Was buying stationary at Popular one day and I got recognised by one of them. Really sweet people. Hope to visit them soon when I launch my 2nd album. (",)

Lastly to all my readers, thanks for all your support. Love you all!
